Hi, I’m considering applying for a job in Colorado Springs (haven’t decided for sure yet), and wondered if there is much trad. Irish music activity in that area?
We have two sessions a week where I live now and I’d hate to leave and move somewhere without at least one session a week.
Hi Brett, There used to be a couple of C&F contributers from C.S. I can’t speak for them or for sessions there, so I hope they are looking in. It’s a beautiful city in a wonderful setting (nothing to compare with Grand Junction of course) (Clifton is a G.J. suburb).

I don’t know about the Springs, but I know up the road in Denver, there’s a pretty active scene. I’ll probably be back in Grand Junction in November too, to learn from a Bodhrán player visiting from Cork. It’s about four hours from the Springs.
You may want to try and get ahold of Ron Rowe, as he’s from the Denver area, and could probably help you out with the music scene in the general area.
I know some people that live in Tucson…I don’t know how far that is from Colorado Springs but oh well…if it’s anywhere close and you do move there then i’ll tell you who they are. bye!
