Clifton is near Grand Junction. Powderhorn ski area for winter on Grand Mesa is forty minutes plus miles and miles of cross country and snowmoble trails; and in summer endless lakes and streams and horse back trails or jeep and bike roads as well as unlimited hiking paths. The Black Canyon (our newest national park) is about an hour away. Colorado National Monument is twenty minutes. Moab, Utah and the Arches is two hours. Colorado River is a great rafting place. Glenwood Springs (world famous hot springs pool) is an hour and a half. Aspen is another hour from there. That’s a start…

Geeze Mack, you’re making me homesick!
I lived in Aspen, Boulder, and even Greeley for a short time. Made many trips to the hot springs from Aspen, climbed the Bastille more than once in Eldorado, and spent many hours riding the jeep trails around Aspen on my old Yamaha dirt bike. Man, those were the good ole days (sigh)…
You guys are making me want to pack my bags and move back pronto.

Wow, we’ve got “Rocky Mountain Boys” coming out of the woodwork! I had thought there were only five of us! I found out last summer that there is even another whistle player in Wyoming. He’s a lot of fun, and a killer guitar player. I’ll try to get him to come to one of these things sometime. Will wonders never cease. The RMWS II ought to be amazing next summer. Especially if Ron’s evil boss will let him have a day off…
So, Ron, how about those instructions to your house? Is that where the hoolie is going to be on Saturday?

I’m nowhere near good enough to play in a band, I just like to get together with friends and play.
As for a Hoolie it’s an Irish house party lots of craic,food, drink, music and dance.
