If you do searches under ‘Irish Festivals’, ‘Celtic Festials’, etc; you can find a number of sites listing festivals all over the states and even the world. I have a print out or two somewhere but they are about 4 months out of date. On those you’ll find dates for Dayton, Dublin, and Cincinnatti Ohio, Indianapolis. Nashville and Chicago have recently occured. There’s some good ones in Southern Illinois too.
My must do is Milwaukee Irish Fest, August 18-21. Its a long but doable drive for you but it’s one of the largest. See there lineup @ www.irishfest.com Some C&Fers meet there every year. Come join us.

We won’t be able to make the Dublin (Columbus, OH) festival this year - but it’s an fantastic time! Attendance is usually around 70,000 over the three days.
The Cincinnati festival is now billed as “Celtic/World”. Last year, one of the “other” groups to perform was Le Vent du Nord, a great Quebecois group. Jean Ritchie was also there, telling about her travels in Ireland researching her family songs back to their original roots.
