Some of you may remember that, 2 weeks after my first child was born, I spiked a high fever and ended up in the hospital for 4 days with a serious kidney infection that took a long time to be cured. Well, guess what? Yup. Again.
I have had a fever (103) now for 4 days. I spent a night and day in the ER, I have had two office visits, but nobody is fixing me. In fact, only one doctor (the one who treated me the first time) takes me seriously enough to test for everything (still awaiting results). The antibiotic I am on is safe for breast milk, but it’s not killing the infection or lowering the fever. There are other symptoms, too, that are very unpleasant. I feel awful.
Please send good vibes in whatever form feels right to you.
Man, this sounds really terrible to be so sick. I can’t believe it! I am glad this doctor is taking you seriously—with a fever like that how could anyone not, good heavens. If he helped you before it sounds like you are in good hands and that’s the main thing. When he gets those test results he’ll know what to really start slamming those bacteria with. I’ll be hoping you feel better soon. And don’t rush your recovery, be sure to get whatever help you need so you don’t over exert yourself. Let us know.
Good vibes, warm thoughts and prayers coming your way. Home with a new baby and a young child is really a hard time to be sick. All best for a quick return to good health.
