I would search the archive but...

I went to search the archive this morning and… is it down? Is it lost? At any rate, I couldn’t connect. The question wasn’t all that important and I’ll wait to see my answer before cluttering the board.

Same thing happened to me the other day so I asked my question on board and I asked if there was something wrong with the archives. I got the answer to the question I was asking—the name for a two string chinese fiddle—within two minutes. Nobody said what, if anything, was wrong with the archives though. Don’t you just love our balanced sense of priorities: it’s this sort of thing that makes C&F great. :stuck_out_tongue:

People always say: “Search the archives” but that is not really necessary, I think: I’ve tried a couple of times when it was down. I think what people mean is: run a search. That’s different form the archive. No, wait: I’ll put this in a separate thread. One sec…
