i actually was going to put this in the cp thread first, but

it doesn’t really belong there!
suggestions how we want to call this…

that’s the “what idiot did that?” thread.

Yuck. That’s a really ugly cat (sorry to be redundant).

post edit… wait, is that a unitard that it’s wearing?

And that’s really an awkward sentence you’ve got there, Erik.

(sorry, just had to tease you after your post in the CP thread)

You got me. At least I didn’t spell redundant with a ‘u’. Oh, wait. I did.

(and, since you didn’t quote it, there’s no proof since I changed it)

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

That poor cat! Doesn’t look too happy about it, does it? (Can’t say I’d blame it.) How ever did they get the critter to hold still for the shaving? “Here kitty kitty, eat the tranquilizer, good kitty… Electric shaver? No, it’s just a nice soft brush, go to sleep there now, good kitty.”

The bigger question is what was it that led to the cat being so drastically deprived of it’s fur to begin with? :boggle:

I love cats, but that one is definately not such a cutie pie with that fur cut and a look of “when I find out who did this to me, I’m going to scratch their eyes out” all over it’s face.

 Sara

 It’s just too funny! Why on earth would anyone do that? Or HOW for that matter? :boggle:

Photo title: “My anger keeps me warm.”

Or you could title it “Idiopathic Sociopathy in Cat Groomers: A Case Study.” This pathetic feline is suffering from the “lion cut.” I didn’t even know there were cat groomers until recently, but this cut is done to prevent matting, or something. More victims:

That’s very funny - poor wee kitties.

Here’s more on (moron) that: http://www.petebevin.com/archives/2003/02/06/lion_cut.html

As someone who’s done that- shaving down a cat- I can tell you that it is NO FUN. As a former dog groomer, I was the lucky  vet tech that got to do all the shave downs. The cats always had to be tranqulized- some got the whole nine yards of general anesthesia. This was always done because they had become so matted that it was a health concern. Their skin is VERY thin and hair very fine so it is much more difficult to shave down a cat than a dog, horse, etc. Actually, it’s always been a pet peeve of mine that vets and techs are not taught how to properly handle clippers and do shavedowns. I’ve never seen one yet that could do it right and also not clipper burn/cut the animals. :moreevil:

I must say that whoever did the first cat pictured did a dagone first rate job!!! The others look a bit rough.

Brgitte, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO JACQUES?!?! :astonished: :boggle:

Loren

Hey!!! He is black and there would be not way I could get away with it with him… no way! Besides I could never do this to a cat, look at these poor little fellows!!! o.k. I laughed as well but… Only because I could not help it. just like a cat sitting in the house in front of the window watching birds and making funny noises to cope with their exitement …

Brigitte

Heh, heh. Yeah, judging by the photos I’ve seen of Jacques, he looks like the sort one doesn’t mess with
