I picked one up on ebay yesterday so while I’m waiting
for the postman, and I know there were some threads a few years ago
on these whistles, I just thought I’d ask if anyone who
plays one now would like to give an opinion/comment.

Mine is very sweet sounding and not very chiffy. Lovely whistle. Very good tuning. Unless you are looking for a lot of chiff or breathyness in a whistle, you won’t be disappointed.
I was always curious about that one. They looked lovely but were too expensive to order without trying
They are wonderful whistles, and I’m sorry Peter is no longer making them. I had the loan of one for a week a few years back and enjoyed it thoroughly. You’re lucky to get it.
