Just got my new Hoover G whistle today. VERY NICE! Amazing response really. Totally different from the Alba I’ve been playing - and the Dixon too. The high registers just sing.

OOh. I hope you all consider these hoover whistles for your rollerbag. I’ve had quite a personal experience with mine..up-close and personal - in-your-face experience and wow. all I can say is

Is your new low G made out of wood? If so what kind and did you get the all wood model or one with a wooden body and plastic fipple? I’m really considering ordering one of these (just posted a thread question about them today actually). Did you have to wait long to get it? Any other thoughts you have on it would be great, I’m planning on emailing Mack soon. Thanks!
My Hoover G is pvc. I’d think the wooden ones would be great too. The middle and upper registers are very clean and easy to hear. The low register is very warm - a bit more difficult to respond on the deepest notes - but I’m just a beginner - so I think in time it will be perfect.
You should definately talk to Mack. He’s a great communicator and FAST!
