I just received my A and F whistles from Mack Hoover and am a state of heavenly bliss! What a thrill to sit back in a soft easy chair and delicately play a tune or six in a quiet house - and not disturb anyone: the cat didn’t budge and the dog didn’t nudge. Both play with ease and perfect intonation all the way up and down. What a thrill!

Just out of curiosity, what material are your whistles made from? I may be looking at expanding my collection (hopefully soon!)
There’s nothing I enjoy more than sitting on the floor next to the fireplace late on a winter’s eve playing my Hoover narrow bore D while the rest of the family sleeps. For me that’s what playing the whistle is about…peace, solitude and relaxation.

Eric - The A is brass and the F is CPVC. Both can be fireplace sitters in front of. Haven’t cranked up the fireplace yet but that’ll be next.

I also have one of his CPVC F whistles; it is sweet, subdued, and very even playing. It is vying with a brass C tunable to become my co-favorite.
