Has anyone performed The Highland Hymn (Hymns for a New Reformation) by Jeff Lippencott? I’m looking for a guideline for the last part of the piece as there was no score produced with a pipes part.
Thanks,
Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,
I recorded the Uilleann Pipes for this, last year. There is some lovely orchestration in it, between strings and voices.
Regarding score etc; From what I remember, I followed a written score for the first part of the piece. However Jeff wanted busier, traditional-tune-like, improvisation towards the end.
Best wishes,
Calum
Hi Calum,
Thanks so much for your response. Just performed this Wednesday night for the “premier” and Jeff wanted the same thing. It was fun to stretch out a bit at the end there.
Nice work you did! The CDs are out and about now!
