High E

Hello.

On my previous D two pieces Dixon polymer I could reach high E and high Eb with the following fingering :

E => oxo oox
Eb => oxx oox
D => oxx ooo

On my new M&E polymer I just can’t get beyond high D.

What’s the fingering for High E on this flute ?

Try xxo xxo (if I remember correctly, I have no way of getting to a flute and try at the moment..)

You may need to alter your embouchure more than you’re used to. The 2pc Dixon is quite different from an M&E, but I would think the Dixon be harder to play.

up from there yer gonna see more flute to flute variance of what works.

check Terry’s site for a R&R chart, I’ve only memorized the Pratten ones that work on the two I play most
