I saw you were on at 12:30 am and thought I’d say hi!
Hi, yourself, there.
It’s almost 1:30 now (Central Imperial Time), and Dale is gone. ![]()
![]()
It’s 11:12 GMT now and everybody is gone.
Slan,
D.
![]()
nobody here at 12:37, swiss timing. ![]()
![]()
Let us all join hands and contact the living…,
Slan,
D.
![]()
It’s 0446 here, and I’m all alone…ALL ALONE. ![]()
![]()
" Alone, all Alone,by the wave washed strand,
All alone in the crowded hall…"
Hey Blackhawk,
Are you up very early or up very late?
Slan,
D.
Up early, D. Gotta work a 12 hour shift. And make some calls to Ireland to make reservations.
![]()
I hope thats Hotel reservations you are talking about,
There has been trouble about that kind of thing in the past y’know..
Slan,
D.
![]()
Well, B&B reservations. Hotels are way too expensive.
Wait…trouble? OK, I’m missing the joke. Sorry, D, must be too early in the morning for my sense of humor. Please enlighten me. ![]()
Slan… ![]()
![]()
forgot how early it is over there, hahahhah…
Does the phrase " To Hell or to Connacht" ring any bells?
Slan,
D.
![]()
Yes, I am very familiar with it. ![]()
![]()
The Cromwellian Plantation of 1654 always struck me as a prototype Reservation but then again maybe it’s just too early for my sense of humour.
Some things are better in the dark,
Slan,
D.
![]()
OH, NOW I get it!!
Please understand, I come in peace! No burning, no looting. In fact, if Mary McAleese or Mr. Ahern ask me to leave, I will!
There’ll be no need for the pike in the thatch.
![]()
Glad that’s sorted out.
You’re right about the Hotel/B+B crack. Extortionate is not the word for some of those Hotels I’ll tell ya.
If You are passing through Dublin avoid att all times Pubs that have been named after Writers or Poets, they are just Tourist Traps and never, never use the Taxi services.
The Meter goes round like a Las Vegas slot machine on a Saturday night.
If you get a chance try to get to Kavanaghs pub,it’s beside the back gates of Glasnevin Cemetry and the Bar( on the left of the building) has not changed one bit since the place was opened in 1833.They also serve the best pint of Guinness in the Universe and that is experience talking( though the Travellers Arms on the West side of Mars comes close)And as if that was not enough… very, very few camera touting tourists get anywhere near it and if you have a whistle a tune is always welcome.
I’m getting homesick now so I will drift over to the local for a pint or three and dream of Dublin.
Slan,
D.

Actually, I’ve been to Kavanagh’s (Gravedigger’s). I was there with Irish friends and afterward we stood outside for a picture of us, below the Kavanagh’s sign. I blew it up to an 8x10 and have it on my wall above my computer. Good recommendation, D! You have great taste.
![]()
Great news.
I will have to keep an eye on you
![]()
Some much time, so little time,
You 'now what I mean,
Slan,
D.

Oh. Hi.
It’s 9.02 and Dale is here!
