Here's a handy thing you should all know about.

Here’s a handy thing. The thing that makes it seem complicated is how easy it is.

If you want to share a photo, video, music clip, document, PDF, etc.

email it to post@posterous.com

They’ll send you back an email quickly with a link to it and there it is on the web. Once you’ve done that, they’ve established a page for you to use as a blogging page. You can send anything to it just by emailing it in.

It’s about the easiest way I can imagine to do a blog. But, it’s also a very handy way to put something up you want to share with this group. It’s how I’ll host and then link to photos I use here, for example.

Storage is not unlimited. I think it’s 1GB.

Coolness.

How do they prevent you from pretending to be me, by using my email identity? Is there a login? Is it by email, and how so?

Checking out the page here http://posterous.com/ to see if it answers my questions:

  1. once you email it, who owns it?

  2. how do you get it taken down again?

Interesting concept.

Does the next uploaded file replace the oldest file once you’ve reached the limit?
