Herbison Low D

Just bought a Herbison Low D. I like the sound, but it’s too big for my little digits - so I’m pushing it on so I can buy another whistle - WhOA she said!
If you’re interested, let me know. I’m looking for $90 including shipping.

Would consider trading for a high D - something fine and dandy? :astonished:

tried the piper’s grip? This makes it easier for smaller hands to play a low whistle. In fact many low whistles can’t be played differently.

If it’s one of the wooden Low Ds then I’d be interested in it

I used to own a herbison low D, wonder if it’s the same one. It was aluminum. Piper’s grip worked really well, though it took me about three weeks to get used to the grip/whistle.

it’s a pvc pipe whistle. Nice and breathy. seems to be in good shape. What is a piper’s grip?

If you’re into low whistles make me an offer - or a trade. Margaret

Piper’s grip is when you use parts of your fingers other than your fingerpads to cover the holes. (You shouldn’t use your fingertips for whistle if you can help it - fingerpads are better. Fingerpads are where your fingerprints are.)
