Hausmann???

Has anyone tried one of these?

The sample sound files aren’t even close to convincing me to try one, but wondered if a real player can get a decent sound out of them…

I don’t know if it’s possible. Thin walled, cylindrical, no chimney depth, huge embouchure in relation to bore. I’m not a flute maker and barely understand the physics but it looks well bad. As bad as his playing. It’s a shame since he obviously has some wood turning skills.

People with less understanding may say that the ‘dark majesty’ is extracting urine as a side line…

You can’t really post a sample like that and expect anybody to think anything positive about the instrument. Seriously - Hausmann needs to get somebody who can play a little to give an indication of the flutes capabilities.

On the upside of that, for me, I now feel much happier about my beginner flute status. I’m pretty good actually…can nearly play a full tune…

I think I had a little extracted just now listening to that clip.

Good grief.
