No lie. It’s a two CD set I saw advertised on TV (the BBC Mystery Channel, btw) this evening. I cannot supply any more details because I left the room. My wife informs me that it includes music by such well known Celtic Musicians as Simon & Garfunkel! Speaking of which, those two sure have been busy over the years, what with teaching that “I’d rather Be a Hammer Than a Nail” tune to the hundreds of generally fine Andean musicians you see around nowadays.
Actually, there may very well be some fine music by some fine musicians on that compilation. I just had an initial aversion to the title. Maybe I need to chill out?
So do you mean that Jamaican steel drummers playing “The London Derierre” on a New York subway platform is not what they mean when they call it World Music?
I thot Enya had this covered. BTW, we got a new Yamaha keyboard with all the wacky pre-sets. Its got these chorus voices than can quickly attain Enya-esque sensations. That’s how I chill out!! With headphones, that is…

As an Andean musician you have no idea how annoying it is to play “Condor Pasa” and have someone say “hey wasn’t that originally a Simon and Garfunkle song?”
