I so would enjoy dressing up for Halloween, but alas, the road we live on isn’t conducive to Trick or Treaters, with a speed limit of 50 m.p.h. and nary a sidewalk in sight. So if I did dress the neighbors might think I’m stranger than they already do!

We’re actually among the few in our neighborhood (and probably the only adults) who dress up. In fact, our next-door neighbors are very anti-Halloween (anti-any holiday, actually) and as they’re also rather unpleasant people in general, there’s a certain amount of satisfaction in tweaking their noses a bit
