Guess the player!

Irish Flute
1

Hi everyone,

I was wondering who is playing on this clip:
http://www.update.uu.se/~ams/home/brenda.ogg

I’ve had the file for a while, and just love the rendition of the
tune… I have another recording where the same person plays the
whistle, lovley playing that too! The only thing I know is that the
files have been called BRENDA~processed.ogg on my
computer.

Some history behind the clips might be in order, once along time ago I
downloaded them from Jim Doran who had a website with clips by various
people from I think http://thesession.org. And it has been
on my computer ever since.

Cheers, happy playing.[/url]

Sounds like Laurence Nugent to me. Maybe not played as cleanly as I’d expect but since it’s not a studio recording, who knows?

I strongly doubt it is Laurence Nugent, unless ofcourse he went under the pseudonym Brenda…

it could happen.

I think I found out who the player is, his name is Brendan Alexander. And his flute teacher was Laurence Nugent! So that is why the have a similar touch.
