I was very impressed with the Grinter whistle played by Paddy Keenen in a movie on kerrywhistles.com, and I tried to find some info on the maker, but was unsuccessful. Well, today I saw the name come up on several posts, so, just out of idle curiosity
, where can I find more information on the maker? Does he have a web site? Thanks.

I think he’s Australian…
Grinter? I don’t even know her.

Thanks all. Appreciate the help. (My pocket book might not
, but that’s another issue entirely.)
Does anyone have any experience with these whistles? Any comments on tone, playability, etc. ?
I have a Grinter low F and it’s one of the very best whistles I own. It is beautifully balanced and responsive, has good backpressure and reasonable breath requirements. The tone is strong and complex. IMO, along with Copeland and Overton they are the best low whistles around.
You might not find any mention of whistles on Michael’s website; they play a pretty small part in his activities. Just email him and he’ll send you a price list and estimated waiting times for particular keys. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. Some people have reported a bit of slowness answering emails I think but I have never had problems.
