We had a wonderful time in San Francisco yesterday! This was my first visit to Lark in the Morning, and I was like a kid in a candy store (I swear, they must have just about anything any culture anywhere has ever devised for making noise!). I just couldn’t leave without getting SOMETHING, so I took home an Oak and a video tutorial (just for fun). While I was waiting to pay, I ran into a guy who wanted a tabor pipe (actually, he referred to it as a “one handed whistle”) so he could play while driving…yikes!
Looks like Oak may have fixed the lip-numbing fipple problem. I played mine for about a half hour today with no ill effects, and there was no odd smell about the plastic. It’s really a rather nice whistle, actually…I think I may make it my car whistle. Haven’t had a chance to watch the video yet.
It was a beautiful day, and the buskers were out in force. My daughter attracted quite a lot of attention when she started dancing to the music down by the Cannery…I swear, I should have put out a hat!
Dinner at Millenium was fantabulous, as always. I have yet to have a less than utterly superb meal there.
Heavens, but I love that city!
