good sessions in Dublin?

I will be in Dublin the coming week (monday-thursday)

some recomendations for sessions in good pubs with good folk and good guinness?

Try upstairs at The Palace in Fleet Street (I think) the road leading to Temple Bar from the O’Connell Street end. It loooks a bit dingy but there’s usually a good proper session on every night.

Try Sin E on the Liffey (north Bank) just across the western part of Temple bar area and also The Cobblestone Pub in Smithfield for “real” not flash for the tourist sessions.

I went to a session last summer at Hughes’ behind the 4 Courts on Tuesday night. It was a good level for me and the musicians were really nice. Tell Frank and Pearl I said hi if you go. :slight_smile: I’m told they also have a really good session there on Sunday night, with people like Gay McKeon who come in there.
