I plan to be making a trip to Shannon Ireland in November, the 11th - 14th. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find whistle makers, or any celtic instrument makers for that matter within not to far a drive from there. Or of any concerts, sessions, etc in the aria.
Also I plan to be in Aberdeen Scotland over Christmas, so any info on there would be nice as well.

Good news - not difficult to find music in Co. Clare. I’m sure others can give you specific advice about sessions and instrument makers [ Eamonn Cotter and Eugene Lambe spring to mind ], but if you go to Custy’s music shop in Ennis, they’re very helpful, and could certainly steer you in the right direction.
Bad news - I won’t be in Aberdeen over Christmas, but I 'll e-mail you through the site, and let you know what’s happening round then, and maybe give you a few contact numbers.
