I don’t have any invitations to offer right now, but when I do I will put them up for grabs. As for the swap site, I’m very confused about people not being able to connect. It works absolutely fine for me every time.
I’ve seen it a few times, but right now the name doesn’t resolve here. My guess is they’re seeing larger volume and they may have changed to a new server and the new DNS definition hasn’t finished propagating yet. This would explain why it works for some people and not for others. If this is it, then it should solve itself in a day or two.

I just got one too!! I offered to swap a day of hiking and swimming in Sedona, Arizona, and within a few minutes I got an invite from someone who used to live in the same area! Go figure… ![]()
Got mine (theglauber). It took longer to write the request than i had to wait. 2-3 minutes maybe! There’s more invites “out there” than i thought!
I traded an MP3 of me playing Brazilian music.
Hmmm… trouble in paradise: gmail doesn’t support the Opera browser at all, and seems to be expecting some Internet Explorer specific things, including Activex controls, which could be a problem for the security-consciious. I sent them feedback.

Nobody wants me…
If anyway is able to invite me, please PM me.

I can’t get into gmail today. It won’t load.
Jessie,
I’ve had periodic problems loading gmail, both on Firefox and IE, yesterday and today. It’s frustrating indeed. Today has been pretty much problem free. An important thing to remember is that gmail IS still in “beta”. That means that the version we’re using is the pre-release version and hasn’t had all its kinks worked out. I’m pretty confident that by the time it goes public it will work without a hitch.
Chris
Should’ve said something earlier. I had three invites.
I’ve been using gMail for a few days now, it’s great. Best interface of any webmail client yet. What a great job they are doing there.
My real favorite is fastmail.fm. It’s nothing short of superb. It allows aliases, forwarding, pop and imap, multiple identities, multiple signitures, bouncing, spam protection, wonderful filters and so much more.
Right now I have fastmail set to forward all mail to my gmail account. What this means is that I’ll still use fastmail to read and respond to all my e-mail, but I’ll use gmail to store all my e-mail for years to come and to be able to search through messages and contacts easily. Basically fastmail will remain my e-mail program and gmail will just serve as a giant storage and search tool.
Best,
Chris
I now have an invite for this if anyone wants it.
Bob
I sent the invite to someone on gmailswap.
Bob
I’ve offered to play a tune in my inviter’s honor, but so far no luck.
So, if anyone has an extra invite, you can PM me…
