gmail revisited

I’ve accumulated a few opportunities to invite people to get gmail accounts. Thought I’d start here. Email me at dalewisely at g m a i l . c o m if you really NEED one. I’m thinking of people who have freemail accounts elsewhere and need the extra storage or whatever.

Best to all,

Dale

Good to see you back.

Slan,
D.

Gmail reminds me a bit of the web chat, in that, while other webmail sites are mostly static web pages, Gmail sits there and reloads constantly.

I also have 5 invitations to give out. You can send me email at norseman@member.afa.org.

A message I picked up off of a camera forum I frequent:

You might want to visit > http://gmail-is-too-creepy.com/ > before you
commit to this. Also read the Terms of Service for Gmail. Personally, I
don’t want all my emails archived, indexed and searchable by ANY company.

I can neither verify or deny the information either in the message or at the web site.

If you are worried about Gmail “reading” your mail or you like your current freebie adress, just stick ot out for a while. The advent of Gmail seems to have encouraged hotmail and yahoo to increase their storage space by a large amount.

It will be soon.

Yeah, I’m not sure how the gmail thing is going to go in the long run. I really like the interface, but I find it really weird how they discourage deleting email. It’s all about targeting the ads, I suppose, but it’s just a bit odd.

Dale

I really like the interface too. If anyone needs an invite, please pm me.

Dana

I haven’t been able to get into gmail since yesterday. Anybody else having this problem?

Carol

PS Hotmail too, btw.

Gmail’s working fine for me.

Dana

Thanks, Dana. I rebooted and all is well.
