Hi, I’m reluctantly selling my Seth Gallagher 6-Key wooden flute, it’s about 2 years old. I have just bought an 8-key flute and don’t have the funds to keep both - plus I would rather someone was getting to play the Gallagher!
The item number on Ebay is 270567857305,

I have put a high buy it bow price and am looking for offers. A new one from Seth would be $3200 / £2109 / 2443EUR and he has a 3.5/4 year waiting list at the moment.
It’s African Blackwood, Sterling Silver keys and rings, comes in a Jean Cavallaro flute roll soft case.
It has had a small crack in the headjoint - on the opposite side to the embouchure hole so it doesn’t affect the sound at all. I’ve had the crack fixed by Ian McLaughlin from Just Flutes in London - who also put cork on the key arms where they touch the flute when you press the key down. There is a silver ring round the tenon between the footjoint and the middle joint which is a repair by Seth to a crack in the joint that happened in transit.
All that said the flute is in great condition and plays like a dream. None of the repairs have had a detrimental affect on the flute and I’m listing them here because I would want to know the same information if I was buying a flute.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I’m happy to send more pictures/audio/video if necessary to anyone interested. I’m based in South London if anyone wants to try it.
