FS: Overton - updated 4/10/05

Through some wheeling and dealing I find myself with a surplus Overton Low F whistle. Classic Overton sound with some minor signs of loving use.

New they sell for nearly $300. My good fortune can be yours too: I am asking $150 for this one and you don’t have to pay overseas shipping either  .

Edit: This is a non tunable model.

You almost had me, but my van had its transmission go out this morning. :imp:

With the cost of the rental car and rebuilding the tranny (and daughter’s HS graduation present coming up) I’m going to have to go all out of character for a while and exercise some restraint. :sniffle:

Was this one of the Overton F’s you had that last time at the Higgins’ place? If so, it’s a steal at the price.

I am always amazed at the ability of high maintenance items to ‘throw a shoe’ just when I’m ready to order soemthing new and wonderful and within pennies of the same ammount of money. LOL!

… everytime something happens that sucks the cash right out of my hands.

Well, this time it managed to suck the cost of the Overton, a couple of Humphreys, and really decent keyless flute (all instruments I’ve been thinking seriously about), with some left over. :sniffle:

I don’t feel too sorry for myself - we’d already prepaid our family’s vacation trip this year, and any cash-shortness is more “cheap” than “hurting” - but I figured I’d better hold back on the toys for a while.

I wasn’t kidding, though - if this is the Overton F I had a chance to try out a few months back, whoever buys it is getting a bargain. I’ll just console myself with the Chieftain Bb and Syn D/C/Bb/A set I’ve already bought from IDAwHOa.

Sold

Mike got a really nice whistle.
