I just bought this fiddle to replace one that suffered an accident…after doing so I realized, like a fool, that I just won’t be able to give it the time needed. I only play fiddle now when playing in sessions, and as it happens, I’m mainly playing the pipes now so I’m not playing in any sessions and would like to order a B set. Anyhow, the return policy doesn’t cover buyer’s remorse, so here it is:
Brand-new “Cumberland” model fiddle from Stephen Perry at Gianna Violins. Very nicely set up for fiddling. Steve has an excellent reputation in the violin world for his setups, customer service and fine products. Steve’s 3 year warranty is also transferrable, so the fiddle is covered.
Spirit varnish, ebony fittings with Guarneri-type chinrest, and Wittner fine tuner tailpiece. D’Addario Helicore strings with wound E. Very nicely carved scroll and F-holes. It has a nice dark and powerful but rich sound. Mint condition with a very nice Heritage IV oblong suspension case and a good Pernambuco bow also both brand-new. I’ll throw in a KUN shoulder rest, rosin, clip-on tuner, two mutes, a satin violin bag, micro fiber cleaning cloth and whatever else I can think of.

This is a really great fiddle, but I’m committed to piping and its related wind instruments now and my holy grail of a nice B set.
