FS: 4/4 Violin Outfit SOLD

I have looked around my music room and have found more instruments than I can play. In string instruments alone I have a guitar, two mandolins, two violins, a viola, and a cello. Unless I can afford to buy a larger house with more rooms, I must face reality and be willing to part with an instrument now and then, which probably means that in two weeks I wil get the urge to buy something to replace it.

Anyway, I am offering a nearly new, full-size Gems1 violin made in Romania in 2005. I am keeping my 100-year old violin. The Romanian violin is in like-new condition, and I have played it so little that it really isn’t even broken in yet. I think that this beautiful violin has a lot of potential. The photo is from the manufacturer and shows the actual violin. I have replaced the tailpiece with a Wittner alloy tailpiece with four built-in strings adjusters. The violin strings are Thomastic Dominant, perlon-core strings. With the violin I am including a Kyoto shaped violin case in like-new condition and an octagonal-shaped pernambuco violin bow with a polished ebony frog with Parisian eye. I would describe the bow as a beautifully-made Chinese bow with medium tension. The total new price of the outfit is over $550, not counting the shipping expense. I am asking $400 for the outfit, and I will pay the priority mail shipping in the USA. For a Christmas delivery, I will need to receive payment by paypal. I prefer to sell the instrument in the USA. Please click on the photo to see the full-size photo. If you are interested, please reply with PM or email.

I purchased the new case, violin bow, and Wittner tailpiece from Southwest Strings in Tucson, AZ.

A woman and her son dropped by my house to pick up a flute as a Christmas gift for her son. It so happens that she was a violinist without a violin. I did my best to correct that terrible state of affairs. Now both she and I have but one fiddle.

Bump. I will also throw in a Wolf adjustable shoulder rest. With the shoulder rest you will have a complete outfit: violin, case, bow, and shoulder rest. By the way, the shoulder rest can be secured with a velcro strap inside the case.
