Fairly recent flute? Looks like the left hand and right hand holes are a little offset from each other across the tube - haven’t seen that before.

In the first photo of the assembled flute the end joint holes are not in line with the finger holes, giving the appearance that the left hand and right hand finger holes are not exactly in line. The finger holes appear to be inline to me.

Interesting you noticed. I forgot about that. I purchased this flute from my teacher when He got his fully keyed Hamilton. The right hand holes be rotated 3degress to make the left hand holes easier to reach. After playing this flute for 3yrs I don’t even notice. I believe this may have been Hammy’s idea.

OK, I guess that I need to twist my glasses a little bit. I think that the 3 degree offset between the hands makes for easier fingering on a large flute, especially if one uses conventional fingering for the left hand and piper’s grip for the right.
