Hello all. My Hamilton flute is for sale. It’s a six key flute, about nine years old. It has a brand new headjoint made and fitted by Hammy in April. It has been well looked after. I had modifications made to the Bflat and Gsharp keys - extensions to make them more comfortable to use. You can see details of this in the photos. This is a great flute - everything you’d expect from this maker - but my new boxwood Aebi suits me better.
I’m asking £1500 sterling plus postage/insurance from England. I can accept international payments - contact me for details.
Well, no serious interest yet. From emails I’ve had it seems that the key modifications may be putting people off. I mentioned them because I thought they were an improvement! they just make the two keys in question into a slightly more rounded (rather than a pointy) shape, which makes them a bit more comfortable under the fingers.
Realistic offers considered! otherwise it’s off to ebay we go…
I played some tunes on this flute [ with Markus ] on the last night in Ballyvourney in April. A very fine instrument indeed, not that you would expect anything else from Hammy. Seems like a good deal to me.
