FS/FT: whistles and flute oh my! :)

looking to buy a new flute, so i need to sell some things:

nickel Copeland D whistle i know i’m going to regret this one, but something’s gotta go… great whistle, i heard it described as an “ITM assault weapon” once. the connical bore gives it a breathy sound, but there’s still chiff and it’s easy to play (loud : ) up both octaves. Looking for $315 (what i paid for it).

Eb-A set of Abell blackwood whistles 2 heads, 5 bodies (Eb/D/C and Bb/A) made by one of the best. Save yourself a sixth month wait and $200–i’ll let them for for $1250 (again, what i paid for them). The easiest to play whistles i have ever owned.

F M&E ebonite flute i’m looking to buy a Bb flute, so i won’t need my F anymore. A really fun flute to play, responsive and light, but still with that ebonite growl. Best thing is probably that you don’t have to play this flute in; leave it sit for six months, then play it for 8 hours straight, no problem–ebonite sounds great, easy to clean, nothing to maintain. i paid $280 for it; looking for $265 or possible trade for an F whistle? Also comes with a hard case.

Antique (American) boxwood 6-key i bought this one off the C&F board; great flute. Boxwood is gorgeous, we think it’s an American Antique flute, so not the loudest flute you’ll find–the holes are more like a French flute than English. But because of that, a really sweet upper register. I paid $350 for it, looking for the same–how else can you afford a 6-key flute! (i’m only selling because i got an 8-key german flute.)

Sweetheart D walnut flute this is also a great flute (i don’t really want to sell it :frowning: i’ve tried several Sweethearts, and for my money, his walnut flutes sound the best. 2 piece, no slide, but tenon joint allows a bit of tuning. Great starter flute, comes with a black case that has a strap sewn on so you can carry it over one shoulder. $225

I also have some other things i’m looking to sell too, that should be up on my website later this weekend or so (a Reyburn brass C/D set, an Olivewood Rover, and non-tuneable Alba low D, a copper Parkhurst, and a Crystal Hall D flute) so you can check there too…

cheers,
eric

eric
