FS or Trade: a flute and 2 fifes-all sold

So the flute is an antique un-named German 8 key. It is made of ebony, comes apart in 5 sections, and has a metal band around the embouchure. It also comes with a case, which is a modified clarinet case, that it fits into fairly well. It plays well from low D upwards and has a nice woody tone. I paid around $75 for this flute and I paid Jon C $150 to restore, repad, and retune it to modern standards. I’m not sure who this flute would be good for but, I imagine it would be good for an experienced flautist who wants to get the hang of playing keys without dropping a grand or more into a high end flute.

The first fife is a Sweetheart Bb Cloos model in Rosewood. It’s absolutely wonderful to play and it’s in excellent condition. These sell for $90 new.

The last one is a Sweetheart Folk Fife in D made of Madagascar Rosewood. The color of the wood is very dark and resembles walnut. This fife has a powerfully loud sound and a bright tone. They don’t make these anymore and the closest thing to it is the C folk fife which sells for $105 new.

Why am I getting rid of them? I’m just far too into my whistles to be proficient with playing transverse. I’m sure someone will really love these and play them as much as they deserve.

And now the business end…
The flute I’ll sell for $200 plus shipping
The Bb fife for $75 plus shipping…sale pending
The D folk fife for $75 plus shipping…sale pending

Pictures available upon request.

I’m also up for trades if you’ve got some cool whistles to spare. I’m pretty well off for Soprano D’s right now so I’m looking for anything Sop C and below. I would take a trade for one or all of these flutes. Thanks

PS: Sorry about selling the flute JonC You did a fantastic job fixing it up and I’m sure someone else will spend more time with it than I am.
