FS: C half-set by Chris Bayley

Beautiful C half-set in stainless and ivory by Chris Bayley. One cracked mount. Nice leather bag (looks like an L&M, but is not marked). Wooden chanter top with a c key. Bari drone seems slightly warped (not quite parallel when moving it to tune). Chanter reed by me. Synthetic drone reeds. Playable now, but could continue to use some reed work. I can sell with, or without my Dixon bellows, but I’d like to keep them for my smallpipes, if possible. Can also include a heavy wood case, but buyer will need to pay shipping costs. Price very negotiable. Will ship to USA only because of the ivory. Pics and sounds available. Send me your e-mail in a PM and I will send those.

I heard from Chris Bayley regarding my pipes. They are nickel silver, not stainless. From Chris:

“Metal work will be Nickel Silver not Stainless. Pipes are based on an Egan set that I measured in 1985 in Sotherby’s auction house London. Origianl owner was John Beattie who had them as parts and brought and tied them into a bag which may be L & M or likely from either Lawrence Thompson or Jackie Boyce”.

The ivory is from recycled billiard balls.
