B Flat Half Set For Sale

I am putting my Bayley half set up for sale. It has just been overhauled and reeded by Chris and is looking and playing very well. It was made from Blackwood, brass and imitation ivory about 6 years ago, and has a new double padded bellows made by me.

It is based on the old 18th/19th Century design with a return on the baritone drone and a tenor drone that plays the fifth (F natural on this set). The ferrules are all hand made and tapered, which adds a very nice aesthetic look to the set. It takes little air, and the finger stretch is considerably smaller than on the “Rowsome” style of chanter. As you would expect the tone is very sweet and mellow, and is particularly nice in the second octave.

I am selling this set for two reasons; I have another B Flat set by Chris and I have more sets than I can play anyway.

I am looking for £2000 for the set, which comes with a hard case. Feel free to PM me for more details. I will try and record a clip of the set, but I need some advice on the best sort of Mic to use on a laptop. Enjoy the photos:

lovely..

I should have added that the Chanter has seven keys; the normal four, plus a true E Flat, High D and High E for the 3rd octave.
