I am selling my keyless Eb flute made by Bryan Byrne. It’s a fantastic flute, but I have a new instrument on the way and I can’t afford to keep it. I am asking $1800 obo and the buyer pays for shipping.
The flute itself is in great condition and a blast to play. It’s incredibly responsive and has a great range of tone. If people aren’t familiar with Bryan’s instruments, he is based in Vermont and makes fantastic, Rudall-esque flutes. As you can see in the photos, it has wrapped tenons and a fully lined headjoint.
Wicked nice flute, as we say here in New England. Sigh, if only it were made of Boxwood, I’d be all over it. Been wanting one of Bryan’s flutes for years now. Damn my allergies
Good luck with the sale Brendan, someone is sure to grab it before long.
Bryan has told me that he thinks Eb is the key that most compliments the Irish flute. I have one of his D flutes
and IMHO it is the best flute I’ve ever played. Curious how old this flute is?
I wanted to take a quick minute to let everyone know what a killer flute you would be passing up if you didn’t purchase Brendan’s flute. A couple of things to consider:
Bryan Byrne is a very particular dude who obsesses over the littlest things when making a flute. His constant quest for perfection is a wonderful charecteristic of an instrument maker and is apparent in his ability to build a top notch product.
Bryan’s wait list is a year, but it probably will be longer. I love the man but keeping a tight timeline is not his strong suit.
I have personally played this flute many times and can vouch for the brilliance of this instrument.
An Eb flute is a crazy thing. It seems to transform the player into a superman/women of astrinomical proportion due to its bright, brilliant tone and crisp qualities only found in Eb
it’s 200.00 cheaper then last week.
Matt Molloy recorded his solo albums in Eb… Nuff said.
For a great flute at a discounted rate and no wait time, this is perfect for the up coming holiday season. Spoil yourself people… YOU DESERVE IT!!!
