I bought this instrument here in San Diego from a local player who purchased it new from Sweet directly a few years ago but decided that Irish music wasn’t his thing. It seems that it has hardly been played at all, I gave it a good oiling and adjusted the cork position to what I think is the optimal position and it’s really playing nicely. It is in absolutely new condition.
I picked it up because I was curious to try out one of the most recent Sweet designs and its not often that wooden flutes come up for sale locally, much less one this nice. It’s a pretty easy blower, fairly small holes, and would make a fantastic instrument for anyone looking for a flute in this price range.
It’s the Sweetheart Resonance model in Blackwood with silver rings and offset left hand ring finger hole, includes the soft case:
Its the Blackwood/Silver model shown at the top of:

and here is a photo of the actual instrument:
Hole spacing:
Left hand:
1.41"
1.41" (with about a .25" offset towards the hand to allow for easier coverage)
Right hand
1.34"
1.34" (with a very slight offset towards the hand)
Who ever gets it should treat it essentially as a new instrument and play it in slowly as I don’t think the original owner played it more than a few hours in the time he had it.
New, they sell for $575, the soft case goes for $39.
Price is $300.00 firm for the instrument and case, including USPS priority mail insured shipping anywhere in the USA.
Please PM any questions.
Cheers and thanks,
Michael
