Two whistles in one auction? Why? Because they are both cheap and fun. Think of it more like a theme set. Even more fun - 50% of the winning bid goes to charity.

Both whistles are like new, you’ll dig 'em.

One whistle is the Parks Whistles, Ghost Whistle in High D.
Characteristics

  • Made from non-petroleum clear tubing.
  • Quiet to medium volume.
  • Curved wind way reduces moisture buildup.
  • Modern styling attracts younger players.
  • Easy to see when the whistle needs cleaning.
  • Impervious to soap and water - just wash it out.
  • Non-tunable.
  • Weight 1.1 oz (for the ultralight backpackers)
  • Clear Tone

The second whistle is a Jubilee Music Instruments & Crafts, Daniel Bingamon made, Plastic Ahava Rabba Whistle.
Also called the “Hava Nagila” whistle. Why Hava Nagila whistle? Listen to the sound clip.
I’ve taught people who have never played a whistle before to play Hava Nagila on this in less than 5 minutes - serious. It’s great fun.

Ok already - time for the sound clips. Just scales: low ocatave (D E F G A B C# D), middle octave (G A B Cnat D E F G), and high octave.

They will be shipped in a USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box costing you $10.35 over the winning bid.

Go ahead, you can bid and feel good about it because 50% of your bid will go to charity.

Bump…

The auction - from which I am donating 50% of the sale price to charity - closes this evening (Sunday Jan 10, 2010, Pacific time zone).

Two other auctions already closed resulting in $145.00 for Heifer International. I like selling useful, but rarely used by me, items this way.
