This baby flute found a new home!
Simple system, Six key, French, c1870, metal head Piccolo in D.
I bought this piccolo thinking it would be a good way to try using keys. I forgot how hard it is for me to play the piccolo.
What I have found indicates this Piccolo is probably French made circa 1870. The head is fully lined and shrouded in metal. I believe the head, rings and keys are all made of nickel. I believe the wood is Blackwood. This flute is in almost new condition, everything works as it should. The pad on the short F natural key looks a bit rough, but is sealing (should probably be replaced).
