Freeman 3D whistles?

I’m not sure how I feel about this…

I promise these will be good instruments. I’ve spent over ten years putting this together, and I will not compromise.

It will take a year or so to complete the pre-production work before the first mass produced Freeman whistle is introduced. I’ve waited several years to take this step while 3D production technology has matured to a point where it can handle an appropriate selection of materials with high enough resolution. The most promising technology so far is “Continuous Liquid Interface Production,” which was announced in March (after two years of development in “stealth” mode):

Here’s the Indiegogo.com crowdfunding campaign the NewYorkIrishArts.com story is about:

I have supported the campaign and am certain Jerry will be able to pull this off, with good results

I wish Jerry much luck. Although I make individually hand made, high end whistles I applaud his efforts to make first rate inexpensive whistles. Expanding the wonderful world of playing music is a wonderful goal. I look forward to try one of these.

Digital is the current media.

It’s an article of fashion.

Tomorrow it will be some nano-other thing.

Maybe whistles will be genetically designed DNA variants of African blackwood - a designed “whistle-tree” producing the best whistles that can be had.

For now - we have what we have.

Those who care have been taking it to the edge of what we have since the first breath was blown into music.

Why would anyone do such a thing?

Well .. you already know.

You play whistles.

You already know why.
