For those of you in and around San Francisco this weekend, I’m having a few friends over to play together on Sunday afternoon, so if you’d like to come by for a few tunes and camaraderie musicale, consider yourself invited! Most likely there will be folks with varied experience, and all are welcome - other instruments besides whistles are highly encouraged. We’ll go from around 2 til 7 or so, then for anyone who would like to, we could migrate over to the Plough & Stars for the session there (since the usual session at An Bodhran is in hiatus), perhaps go out for supper in between. If you’re interested, just send me an email and I’ll give you directions to my house.
Thanks for the invite! We have a pipers club meeting in the South Bay on Sunday, though, so I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. Let us know about the next one, though!
This bears serious consideration. Monday is a holiday, after all. That means, however, that the session pubs will be packed with drinkers as well as players. Stiofan’s house, then dinner, sounds great to me.

Well, technically it’s the S.F. pipers cub, but most of the active members right now live in the South Bay, so we decided we might have a meeting down here every once in a while. We are thinking of moving the monthly meeting around to different peoples’ houses to give things a more homey feeling. Next weekend it’s in Palo Alto. I think we are going to be posting the meeting locations on the website (currently being updated by Bob Wilson).
Anyway, the meetings are the first Sunday of every month, so if you ever want to check it out and you need info on the location, let me know!
I’ve heard from a few chiffers so far as well as folks from the sessions I go to, so it looks like we’ll have a good group here on Sunday. There’s always a few in the “maybe I’ll stop by” category as well. It is a holiday weekend after all.
