For those of you into video downloads:
Is there an archived download, or is this only available live?
Thx,
djm
Thanks for the link!
Thanks for the link, the sound isn’t cd quality, but some great players. The same show has Danu playing one week and Matt Molloy another. Worth checking out.
Here’s the show with Matt Molloy and Gary Hastings in it among other musicians:

Thanks guys, nice stuff there Peter.
Eld, those links aren’t working for me. Anyone else having trouble with them?
Loren
Eld’s links all tell me access denied.
What I had to do was follow Peter’s link. This asks me to press another button to access TG4 web tv.
Then I get another menu on the left. Select Cláir Eile - Cartlann on the bottom of the menu.
This brings up another other menu in the centre. Look for shows called Geantraí.
Press play to start.
When these play, the sound is okay, but the picture comes through as just a bunch of still images. Only rarely does anything but the commercials run smoothly. Anyone else seeing this?
djm
Hmm I guess the links expired or something. They worked when I checked them just now, but now I’m getting the access denied message. The shows can still be accessed following djm’s instructions.
djm: the video runs perfectly for me. maybe you can try again at a time when there is less internet traffic over in ireland?
Incidentally is there anyway to save the streaming video onto the computer?
Thanks!
The Peter Horan & Gerry Harrington set’s a good one
Cathrine McEnvoy playing in 1982 on the latest Siar an Bóthar - 30/07/2006 also Liam O’Flynn 1979
You would probably be able to find some third-party shareware/freeware that you could install to capture and save streams. I use Audio Hijack Pro to capture and save audio streams onto my computer, but as the name implies that only works for audio streams, not for video. But I’ve got to think that someone out there in hackerland has developed a similar app for video streams. None of the native streaming apps (like RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, etc) are equipped to do this AFAIK, probably due to copyright issues.
