Hi,
I am going to spend a week in Belfast in December 2025. I would really like to take a flute lesson (perhaps also a pipes lesson..) in this time. I really like the punchy old school flute style, known from Belfast musicians like Michael Clarkson or Harry Bradley.
Does someone know who I could ask for a lesson or two? Or could even connect me to someone who would teach (in that particular style)?

It’s not a teacher recommendation but the John Hewitt bar in Belfast have a session 6-10pm every Saturday that many Belfast flute players go too… if this was early in your visit you should go and play at this and maybe ask your question there… best wishes Ger

hi, thanks for that recommendation! I already had the pleasure joining this session at this years tradfest. It was so much fun. In fact, this particular session is one of the motivations for me to visit Belfast again.
I am going to be in Belfast from 29th of November to the 6th or 7th of December!
