Personally, I don’t do the fake/blank account thing because I don’t trust ANYTHING about the motives of Mr.Facebook, and I don’t think there is any such thing as security on that site except through abstinence…sick enough of having my data mined through other avenues as it is. I don’t want anyone (employers present and future, government agencies, companies) trolling through my stuff, now or in the future. I also just plain dislike what it stands for…pure superficiality. 40% of the bandwidth used at my workplace right now is Facebook…not ‘social netwroking sites’, that’s just what is down to Facebook. I’m comfortable with my paranoia, anyhow. You’d be surprised at how much pressure you get to sign on, though.
