I’ve been writing this new tune that jumped up and bit my quirky nerve, and have spent the last couple of days making sure I didn’t want to tweak it anymore. I really like it.
It’s a ‘tone-poem’ of sorts. If you imitate Molly nagging away you’ll get the right sound. The FASTER the better! I’ve been playing it at 120, to 138+bpm. It sounds really cool (and is a blast to play) if you can keep the ‘nagging’ sound going…
Okay, I’ve tried and tried to make this thing look right on the tune-o-tron over on concertina.net, but somehow keep getting one measure that takes up a whole staff line!
I wish I knew anything at all about ABC and could help you. I’ll check out the converter and give your tune a try. Congratulations on writing a tune! I don’t have any talent in the composing area.
It’s not your fault, it’s just that the staff is too long for the width that’s been set. Fortunately, it appears that the engine behind this online converter is some variation of abc2ps so you can use the %%scale command to make it fit. I.e.
Edited to add - there are a ton of other %% commands for abc2ps and its variants, I don’t know if the rest of them work but if they do it really opens up the possibilities…
