Seller claims this is a “Feadog blackwhistle” used by, amongst others, The Corrs and Sinead O’Connor. I never heard (of) a black Feadog. Did anybody else?

My recollection is that the Feadogs come in an assortment of painted colors including black. Whether it’s the whistle the Corrs use is debatable. Some say it’s a Little Black Waltons.
Best wishes,

I’ve never seen one before. I’m curious, but I don’t think I’ll spend 9 euro plus shipping for a Feadog. Who knows how much they’ll charge for shipping to the U.S., assuming they’re willing to do it (I don’t speak German). I wonder how high it will go. Only 3 Tage, 14 Stunden to wait to find out.
By the way, if you click on this line in the e-bay ad, you’ll get a sound clip:

Melody’s has black Feadogs. There’s a description and picture near the bottom of the page at http://www.melodystraditionalmusic.com/winds/whistles.htm
It looks like a regular ole Guiness whistle…
I have one..It’s a Feadog painted black…Sound is ok,not anything special. Your basic Feadog…think I payed $7.50 or so locally..
I’m with Paul on this one…There’s the Guiness label and everything.
Could it be that someone on Ebay listed something incorrectly!?! The end is near!

Sinéad doesn’t play whistle (that I know of). And on her last album, they used Overtons. At least, that’s what’s pictured.
Shannay Quay has colored Feadog’s. Besides black there seems to be blue, green, yellow and red.
Nope, it’s a Feadog. Look again. The label is hard to read, but Guinness whistles have the cream colored mouthpiece. This one is all black. Looks more like the Walton’s Little Black Whistle, but that one (the LBW) has a silver label.

My LBW has a bright yellow label.

Good grief! Of course…please excuse the brain fart…

That’s a Feadog mark 111, I have one just like it, looks quite cool, all black (I have an all-black Howard low D as well that looks almost like it’s big brother).
I paid £2.25 for mine last year,in a music shop in Carlisle,Cumbria.
