F/S Bill Haneman Small set C#--sold

I put this set up a year or so ago, and decided not to sell, but need to now. The set consists of C# chanter with one key, small stock with tenor and baritone drones, bag and bellows, violin case. Drones and stock are macassar; the wood of the chanter is not certain. Bill thought it might be olive or an ebony. It sounds and looks nice, however. Set is in very good condition, a few years old. Been well taken care of, but not played much during past year. It may need to be reeded, but comes with a variety of both chanter and drone reeds, and some extra cane and staples. Cost is $1400 US for the set plus shipping. I will accept a bank draft or payment by paypal (if paying by paypal, I request an additional $60 to cover fees please). I can pack it up and ship it quickly. I prefer to ship to the US. If going overseas, I will need payment cleared beforehand, and buyer pays any fees incurred through customs.

Sorry to hear that, Matt!

The chanter is probably a dalbergia (aka ‘rosewood’ - at least it smelled like a dalbergia when I was turning it) but it looks like Macassar ebony. I only had one stick of it. Drones and miniature stock are Macassar.

That set’s an early one (serial number 2!) but I remember it being a good player. Buyer is welcome to contact me for reeds and/or other tweaks if desired.

Long time and I hope all is well. Yes, personal and work circumstances have precluded my ability to continue at this wonderful instrument. Though I still listen.
