F,E,D triplet help

Ok, I’m working on ‘The cup of Tea’ There is a par that has a F,E,D lower octave triplet in it. My question is in regards to landing the Hard D. I find it to be very difficult since it it needs to be pretty quick.

My thoughts were to land a soft D instead or just simplify the part and just make it F then D which I think will be undetectable when played with other people.

Any thoughts on this?

Quick is the word. Quickly vent the A to get that fast hard D.

Is your FED lower octave triplet played off the knee with your little finger on the chanter?

David

haven’t tried that!

How are you playing it?
And what is the note just before the F?
