Emer came round our way a couple of three weeks ago playing in a band called Grada. The songs and tunes were new compositions - very didn’t seem too happy on stage. Emer played the flute & fiddle, no pipes.

She is indeed. I went to see the Afro Celt’s a few years ago, she was newly their piper at the time. She was playing a few chanters of different keys which she would remove from the head/reed stock and leave on the gropund beside her.. .reed exposed! I was a nervous wreck wathing the guy on the whistle hopping around within inches of the reed! Scary business!
