Emer Mayock's Stick?

Just been listening to Emer Mayock’s “Playground”, for the umpteenth time, and I was wondering if anyone happens to know what flute she used to record “Playground” and “Merry Bits of Timber”? I love her tone.

It’s interesting how much difference in tone there is from one player to the next. Hard to sort out how much is “hardware” and how much is unique to the user.

Clarification: This post isn’t about
flutes, it’s about players.

I did some quick research on Emer. Sorry I couldn’t find any instrument makers listed… just one picture though.

The flute in the picture looks like a Sam Murray. She also thanks Sam in her liner notes on “Merry Bits of Timber”. So… I’m inclined to say that she plays a Sam Murray.

Thanks Tony,

I don’t suppose anyone here has that back issue?

Loren

Dude… I just answered your question and you go thanking Tony. Wassup wit dat?! The givaway is the bulge just before the tuning slide.
Chris

Dude,

Thanks for the scoop, you shure knows yer flutes there Laughlin.

Loren

No problem bro. Thanks for your e-mails. Your flute is going to be (&(#*&($ awesome. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I was in Cape Cod for the weekend and didn’t get whole lot of fluting in. I did, however, play the Olwell at a session on Friday and one of the local flute geniuses commented “Very nice Chris. You’ve been practicing”. That’s the nices complement I’ve gotten in six months in Boston.
Chris

So Chris,

Are you saying it was all the flute, or have you actually been doing some practicing for a change =;^)
