Elf Song Whistles

Anybody out there have any of the handmade whistles by Elf Song Whistles out of British Columbia, Canada?

I know they are made in both copper and brass and wonder if anyone has whistles from this maker in the same key in either or both of the metals? Do you favor the brass or copper and why?

What is your general impression of this whistle make? Also, does anyone have the seperate mouthpiece and multiple “finger tubes” as described on their website? They look like nice whistles.

I have older models. A D “Copper Tone” and a C “Sassy Brass” I much prefer the C, but maybe just because it’s beautiful - painted glossy black body tube, copper ring over the copper slide, brass head joint with a black delrin fipple. The C is a bit quiet with a slight raspy edge to the tone - lovely. Don’t know that anything has anything to do with the material composition of the bodies.

Philo,
Thanks for the reply. I do not see a lot of reference made to these whistles and just wondered why? I recently visited Sandy’s website and thought the brass and copper whistles both looked pretty nice. I am really not thrilled by painted whistles.

Any tonal differences between materials is probably negligible, the copper whistles might weigh a bit more than the brass.

Just thought I might give one a try if I knew more about them.
